REMEMBERING MOTHER MARIA: A ZOOM CONFERENCE by Jonathan Gorsky

Editorial note: Mother Maria was glorified as a saint (canonized) by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, the jurisdiction to which she belonged, in January 2004. She is much beloved and venerated throughout the Orthodox world far beyond the Russian Church.

Dr. Jonathan Gorsky is a lecturer in Judaism and Christian-Jewish relations at Heythrop College in the University of London, where he is also Degree Convenor for the new BA in Abrahamic Faiths. See his College profile for additional information.

See the websites of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion and the Sion Centre for Dialogue and Encounter for information on the conference hosts.

With thanks to Carlos Chuquihuara, SJ, who is studying for the priesthood at the Centre Sèvres in Paris, for bringing this announcement to Orthodoxy in Dialogue’s attention.
